I'm back with a fresh review of the new Knockaround Sport sunglasses. I actually already have a few pairs of the traditional Knockarounds which I cycle through day to day depending on my mood. But I was so excited to hear that Knockaround was releasing a line of shades designed specifically for athletes.
What are Knockarounds?
If you're unfamiliar with Knockaround as a brand, the main mission of the company is to provide you with sunglasses that are good quality and stylish but won't break the bank. Just like people might have a "knockaround" pair of sneakers to wear when working in the yard or around the house, they wanted to create a line of "knockaround" sunglasses.
The sunglasses themselves are pretty durable but I've definitely been most impressed by the price. As someone with sensitive eyes, I'm all for a brand that can offer polarized sunglasses for under $30! And the Sports line is just another great addition to their collection.
Features
Secure Fit
The biggest difference between the new Knockaround Sport sunglasses and their traditional frames is the addition of rubber nose grips. It's a simple addition but it means the world when your sunglasses actually sit securely on your face without sliding down as you start to sweat!
Durability
Apart from the newly added nose grips, the Knockaround Sports feature impact-resistant lenses which I've put to the test on more than one occasion. Despite multiple clumsy attempts by me to smash the sunglasses on the ground, the lenses and hinges have held strong!
Style
Lastly, perhaps my favorite feature of all Knockaround sunglasses, the styles. Knockaround has an incredible selection of pre-made combinations of lens/frame colors. You can choose to go conservative and classic, or bright and bold like the fluorescent orange shades I selected.
On top of the styles they carry year-round, I'm also a big fan of the "Limited Edition" styles they regularly release. I was heartbroken to realize I missed the boat on their Lunar Landing sunglasses that were released over the summer! Make sure to follow them on social media so you don't miss out when these new styles drop.
Final Thoughts
I'm up to 3 pairs of Knockaround sunglasses now and am constantly keeping an eye out for some of their limited releases to add to my collection. For the price, you just can't beat the quality sunglasses you're getting.
I was already running in my Knockarounds but am even happier having the new Sport sunglasses. They just fit a little bit more securely on my face, especially during my more aggressive sprint workouts.
